1. Beadingschool Birthday!

While this time of the year The Netherlands, where I live, is preparing for tomorrow’s birthday celebrations of his royal majesty King Willem Alexander, we, at Beadingschool are celebrating a birthday, too: it’s exactly one year since the big change from The Storytelling Jeweller to Beadingschool has happened. And it was just the beginning of many of our beady adventures together!

A lot has happened during the past 12 months: a growing community in the Beadingschool Club, a big competition with lots of shining jewels, about 40 #NoOneHasToBeadAlone classes with new designs, tips and tricks that you could learn, the opening of Beadingschool Academy, and also a growing Team and Treasury to help even more of your beading dreams come true.

Since last April, Beadingschool has become an oasis for many of us:
for beaders who come here to learn, to inspire and get inspired, for the Team who feel that with every bead they pack, they send some happiness to someone in the world. Sometimes to nearby countries in Europe, and sometimes even as far away as India, South Africa, Costa Rica, or even Hong Kong or Thailand.

Thank you all, who supported Beadingschool during this past year.
With kind words, with your orders, with beading together on Fridays, with lots of chocolate sent to the Treasury in December when the ladies worked the hardest during the whole year, and most importantly, by encouraging and supporting each other in the Club. 

We make Beadingschool into what it is together. All your contributions, a heart, or words of admiration that you leave below a fellow beader’s jewel each matter and take us one step closer to what I started to dream of many years ago: a friendly online beading community built  on compassion, learning, and sharing. 

Today’s #CoffeeTimeWithErika is the opening ceremony of our week-long celebration – that’s actually a lot longer than King Willem Alexander’s one-day birthday party 😀 

During the upcoming days, we’ll look back at the historic moments of Beadingschool, you can get to know the Team members better, and even meet them during Saturday’s Lunch Break Zoom Room. This time it will be open to the whole Beadingschool Club, not only Academy Members. We’ll even have a special guest from the Czech Republic – one of the most knowledgeable, and friendliest and funniest people in the beading world. On Friday, a new #NoOneHasToBeadAlone class is coming, and you’ll also have a chance to take a bit of Beadingschool to your homes.

At the end of the Birthday celebrations, we plan to have a fun quiz about all that you could learn about Beadingschool and its Team, so make sure to read our articles, and ask all the questions you might have during our meeting on Saturday!

But since Boxes and Collections have became the most beloved goodies that you are looking for in the Beadingschool Treasury, to celebrate this milestone, we also put together a ‘Signature Box‘ bringing you the essence of Beadingschool: turquoise for creativity, yellow for positivity, and pink for community and compassion.

All the beads and components that are inside, come in different shades of these colours. The Box contains a curated selection of beads, cabochons, and components, selected by Erika, with the whole Team’s contribution.
