We always use basic bead shapes that you probably already have to make sure that you can jump in right away:

It might also come in handy to have for the future: Gemduo beads, Honeycomb beads, Miyuki slender bugle. If you like, you can often spruce up the designs with some glass drops in metal settings, ss16/4 mm Preciosa sew-on rhinestones or tassels.

5×8 mm Gemduo beads,
Miyuki seed beads 15/0,
Miyuki Delica 11/0,
Miyuki Half Tila beads,
Miyuki Quarter Tila beads,
2 mm round druk beads,
7.5 x 15 mm Preciosa drop, earring hooks

Tools

thin beading needle,
Fireline or other strong and thin beading thread,
bead mat,
thread burner or scissors
