I’ve always felt a deep need for self-expression. Originally, I wanted to be a writer or a linguist, however, the stress while studying for my final exams at university brought beads into my life, and these little pieces of glass never left since then. It was more than a decade ago…

Beading became not only my hobby but my passion, my life, my quest. When I see the happy faces of my students or read their e-mails and posts, I know that designing and teaching beadwork is where I can bring the biggest possible dose of happiness, and this is where I can use my skills and experience in the best possible way.

Through this page, I’ll guide you to the colorful world of beads. You can learn how to make beaded jewelry – quick and easy pieces that can be done in an evening, but also jewels that will challenge your technical skills and will help you grow.

Every Friday we come together for an open workshop, available to everyone. We started to bead together in March 2020 during the first lockdown to make sure that #NoOneHasToBeadAlone. Creative shows were canceled and local beading groups had to be suspended, but beaders from all over the world (sometimes over a 100 from Australia, India, through Europe to the USA and Nicaragua) came together to work on the same jewel and to keep each other company. After beading together more than three years and 150 different designs we are still going strong and we meet every week.

You can become a member of the Beadingschool Club on Facebook: you can show your jewels, ask questions, share your beady obsession. But most importantly, you can meet like-minded people and find new friends. “Being kind to each other” and “giving more than what you hope to get” are values that we pursue. Many times the Club was called a “beady sisterhood” by fellow beaders, as it means a lot more to us than what I’m able to put into words here…

I was born as a Hungarian in Slovakia, but I found my home in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I love to bike, visit the local market and the museums, and
I have a home studio where I bead and work. It’s a creative, calm oasis with vintage, turquoise drawers, pink or purple tulips in a vase, and lots of unique, inspiring beading material. The Beadingschool Bead Shop is an extension of my atelier to make you feel like you are pulling out my drawers, looking into my organizers and that we are selecting beads for your next jewel together.

All the cabochons, beads and components that you find here are something that I personally love working with. They inspire new ideas, are of the highest quality, and often are not easy to find. We are especially proud of our collection of art cabochons and metal components with Cubic Zirconia! You’ll also find recommendations on how to use them, how to put together creative color combinations, and beautiful jewels made by fellow beaders.

The biggest “love project” of our Beadingschool Team and by far the most popular thing you can have are our specialty boxes: curated collections of beading material. They make you feel like it’s Christmas, even if you open them during a hot summer day. Our first ones where the “Preciosa crystal&pearl boxes” that give you the possibility to get a taste of what Bohemian Crystal looks and feels like. The next one, our “Luxury Component Box” featured metal findings of the highest quality, decorated with Cubic Zirconia. They flew of our shelves in under three hours!
