My name is Erika, and I am the creative soul behind TheStorytellingJeweller.com. Beading is my passion and I invite you to bead with me in Amsterdam, The Netherlands! I will teach one full-day class, where you can choose from five different designs.
I will also have a table full of kits and unique, hard to find beading material. Max. class capacity is 12 people.

The maximum possible amount of bling is fit into the Estrella Pendant! Thanks to the beautiful cubic zirconia cabochons and the tassel, it’s the perfect combination of elegance and a hip approach to life. You can absolutely customize the necklace to fit your style: bead it with or without the tassel, and use the motif with or without the filigree, which adds a super-romantic touch to the design. The back of the motif is fully covered with beads.
You will learn to bezel two different sizes of cabochons and connect the 11 stones to each other without the need to start a new thread. We will attach the motif to the filigree and add a tassel for the boho side of you.

The Lemonade Necklace is an eye-catching bead embroidery project. The tassel and the filigree components give it a romantic, boho touch, while the concentric circles built up of the highest quality rhinestone chains (from the crystal valley of the Czech Republic) and the Japanese and Czech glass beads will hypnotize everyone around you.
Besides beautiful cabochons, Japanese and Czech glass beads, you will work with and learn to attach custom-made Preciosa rhinestone chains and high-quality European metal filigree. The cabochon is attached to the fabric in an interesting way, which you can apply in your future projects. For a different look, you can decide if you would like to finish the pendant with or without the tassel, with or without the filigrees. You will bead the clasp and the rope entirely out of beads, without using metal components.
Basic experience with bead embroidery, peyote stitch, and tubular herringbone are advantageous.

The first color combination of the Jardin Majorelle Bracelet was inspired by a beautiful oasis: the garden of Yves Saint-Laurent in Marrakesh, Morocco. Turquoise, green, and the vibrant blues and yellows of the cactus plants all around the villa are included in this single piece of statement jewelry!
You will bezel the cabochon with fire-polished beads and seed beads, then decorate the setting with faceted Czech beads resembling the cut of semi-precious drops and Chili beads to remind you of the cactus plants in the real Jardin Majorelle. You will learn to cover a metal cuff with leather and Ultrasuede, and attach the beadwoven motif to this versatile base to fit every size.

In the ‘Byzantine’ workshop you will create a bracelet looking like straight out of a museum!
With a lot of texture, a lot of the newest Miyuki Quarter Tila beads and just the right amount of sparkle in the form of Swarovski Elements crystal cabochons and crystal beads. This jewel is a definite eye catcher, and when you look closer, you discover a lot of exquisite details, including an interesting way of attaching the cabochons to the base.

After running a bead shop for six years I started to design beaded jewellery and write beading tutorials full time. I am a member of the Beadsmith Inspiration Squad, and I have taught classes in the past among else at the Bead&Button Show in the USA, the Swedish Beadalong in Stockholm, at Master Beads Bergamo in Italy, etc.
I love to play with colours and all the new bead shapes, but the my favourite thing is to see the happy faces of students after a workshop or a picture of a jewel made from one of my tutorials. I hope you will soon become one of them!
