Some of you know, that together with Adam we love traveling and getting to know different countries, cultures, and people living in far-away lands. Often we long to experience and learn about places in ways that might not be on a casual bucket list. When I told my friends that I’d like to sleep in the jungle (despite my arachnophobia), or travel in for three days on a local bus in a country where I don’t speak the language, I often have to answer the same question: “Aren’t you afraid?”
Flowers in the Hair
Usually I’m very secretive when it comes to revealing a new Beadingschool Academy Theme and source of inspiration. I would like it to be a complete surprise, or it’s maybe my guilty pleasure to tease our “patient” beaders, you name it 😀
This time, before I’d have shown you the 7. Beadingschool Academy Theme Box, there was one tiny detail that I revealed: I told you, that your box will be full of happy colours, as we all need those good vibes, hope, and trust these days, that the world is a good place very much.
And I have to admit, that indeed, sometimes I am.
However, that’s when I learned to remind myself, that whatever I read on the news, people are good, and wherever I go, there will be people living just like you and me, wanting to live a happy and peaceful life. Keeping on our mind that the world is a good place is especially important nowadays.
But back to traveling: I think that how Adam and I travel is nothing compared to those who came before us.
I can order a guidebook and study all the details in advance, I can ask my questions in different traveller’s groups on the Internet, or, just simply connect to wifi or switch on the Internet on my phone when I’m lost.
There were travellers before us who had to have a lot stronger faith in the beauty of the world than we do these days, riding the famous hippy trail from London and Amsterdam through the Balkan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, all the way to India and Nepal. During the next two months, we will walk in their footsteps, creating jewels that will fit this road, while learning to trust again, that the world is a good place and all will be well at the end!
The newest Beadingschool Academy Theme Boxes will start landing on your bead mats already today! Full of happy colours, full of tiny reminders of the beauty of the world. I can’t wait to see all your cheerful bead mats over the next two months 🙂
Yours,
Erika
PS: We don’t have open spots at the Beadingschool Academy at the moment. Make sure to add yourself to the waiting list to get a notification when they will be available again!

I was on holiday and was consciously trying to avoid to see what the new Academy box will bring us. It was such a nice surprise when I opened the box and watched the coffee time to discover what is exactly going to keep me busy in the upcoming two months. I really needed such a happy, carefree topic and colors. So excited to work with the beads and see al the beautiful designs coming our way! 🙂

This theme is already a fun place to be full of memories of being young and lucky enough to have experienced the days of the hippie generation. It is hard to believe so much time has passed since then. I am full of inspiration and ideas from the contents I have seen already and can’t wait to see what comes next!

I have loved every academy box I have received. I am genuinely excited about the new theme’ “Flowers In The Hair”. It will be like revisiting some of the best years of my life (the 70s).

I still have a challenge here to further develop my (non-existing-)love to purple and pink, but the theme and the era is definitely something I can relate to. Can’t wait to see what designs you and your fellow artists come up with! I definitely adore the metal components of the box and I’m excited to have the package in my hands for a discovery session.
