Face to Face – Timea Czuth Lami
There are many passionate helpers who are working in the Beadingschool Treasury, enhancing the experience and ensuring everything is running smoothly. One of the members you meet every time you open the beadshop, without seeing her face directly, is Timi. We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce her better so we asked the questions, and she answered.
Caring, full of energy, smiling, precise, and detail-oriented are just a few of her significant strengths. We’re very happy to have her in the Beadingschool Team.
Meet Timea Czuth Lami, our Timi!
What is your task in the Beadingschool Team? How do you help our beaders?
I upload all the product photos to the webshop, technically everything you see and can buy. Besides that, I supervise the team that does the packaging and labeling of the bunds. I also coordinate the Academy Boxes, the most important program we have in Beadingschool.
How big is your team?
We have a mini team of 4 senior ladies, who pack the products with care. It means about 20 kg of beads to handle at once.
It sounds like you are a mini boss, right? 😊
Yes, we could say that.
Besides Andi and Erika, you are one of the longest-standing members of the Beadingschool Team. What are the differences that you see between Beadingschool back then – 5 years ago and now? How did your role change during this time?
The difference is enormous. It all started with a simple phone call. Andi asked me to help her with packing the beads. At that time, we were in her living room. You can imagine that the living room started to be smaller and we couldn’t fit in. I told Andi and Erika, that we should rent an office for the company. They agreed.
Since then, we have established the beady empire – our Lab and then the Treasury. There were just the 2 of us and we got 100 g of beads at that time. This gradually changed to 20 kg and big team behind it that we have today.
Awesome… It is like Steve Jobs in the Apple garage.
Yes. It is very nice.
Timi, it was you, who came up with the idea to rent an office. Did you have a vision that the company would grow that big?
Absolutely not! It is still incredible and unbelievable.
You and the Andi&Erika duo have known each other for a very long time. Do you have some nice (and not too naughty :D) memories that you like to recall from that time?
We went to high school together with Erika. Our friendship started to grow stronger as I visited Andi in Prague. My husband and I stayed at her place, celebrating New Year’s Eve together. Those are really nice memories. She also attended my wedding in 2007. (My hair used to be brown, and Andi looked like a sweet sixteen 😊)
Nowadays, we often go for a nice cup of coffee together or leave work behind and go shopping.
We know very well that red is your favorite color. Your hair is so beautiful in this shade! Do you have other colors that you like?
I love all the colors except orange. That doesn’t suit red. I mostly wear colorful clothes. As a general rule my hair and my nails are always red.
What do you do in your free time? How do you relax and recharge?
Family comes first. My boys are growing up and we’re preparing that they are going to be leaving the nest soon. I’m delighted and heartbroken at the same time, but it is the course of nature 😊. Our family also has a little dog. He is silly, but we love him.
I love nature. If I could, I would always be outdoors. I adore the mountains: trekking, and fresh air. I am also passionate about the sea. You can relax there, and watch the sunset. If I am tired, I like to be alone and do nothing. I have my room at home to set back.
I also flew for the first time when I was going on a business trip to Spain. I have also flown some more times since then and I really enjoy it. My kids are teens and they have chosen London as a destination last year, so we went!
I love shopping… And I love coffee… starting the day with coffee!
My impression is that it would be easier to list the things you don’t like.
Hehe.
What is your favorite task that you do?
I think it’s uploading photos to the bead shop. But I like all my tasks. I like being busy. Taking photos has actually evolved into another hobby of mine. In my free time, I enjoy capturing the landscapes.
What was the most difficult thing to learn at work? And what is your biggest challenge nowadays that you want to overcome?
I used to work in a factory first. Then I had my two kids very early. Getting back to work was a new start again. Everything was a challenge. I graduated from high school but I had no particular skills needed for an office job. Erika trusted me and Andi trained me to use the computer, write e-mails, use MS Office software, learn the buying processes… etc.
I think you can be really proud of yourself.
Indeed. I fully agree. I have learned a lot since then.
When did you feel the proudest during the 5 years with Beadingschool?
I think it was the time when I started to work independently. It is also very satisfying that other colleagues come to me if they have questions or need help and advice.
Are you a part-time worker?
Nope. Full-time. I like the job to be done. It is not like work is over and I leave. Erika and Andrea knows that they can count on me.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
I really love working in Beadingschool. I feel I do and give my best. I don’t know everything yet, but I’m on the right way to improve. I enjoy the atmosphere in the Treasury – it is like a big family. We are kind to each other, we get on well.
We love having you with us, Timi! The trust we built together is unique and you are an example with your hard work and dedication to many of us.
Thank you for answering our questions, Timi, so we can know you better. 🙂
We wish you lots of success and many happy moments together – with the Beadingschool Team and Beaders!

Thank you for sharing your story! You’re one of the originals in this amazing company. I always love hearing stories of how a company gets started because I have been the part of start-ups, too. The growth and change is amazing. Thank you for all you do for Beadingschool and for us.

I love getting to know you a little better Timi! I am so terrible at taking pictures and I am in awe of the work you do there! I truly don’t know how you and everyone at the Treasury get everything done. You said it is a family there and we beaders feel it from you even though we have never met in person. Thank you Timi for everything you do for all of us! Sending hugs!❤️
