The idea of creating a pendant came with the 3rd Beadingschool Academy theme – Maharaja’s Jewel.
When I received my box and started to look through what Erika prepared for us, my imagination thrived. I held the Amazonite cabochon in my hands, and couldn’t decide – it can be anything. A focal in bracelet or necklace, ring, brooch.
I saw this little pool of water, surrounded by flowering garden in vivid colors and I tried to transform it into a pendant on a long chain. Combining most of the components from the theme box, I added only the ultra suede, filigree and tassel from my stash and a special metallic bead with violet crystals Beadingschool offered this week in the special, Maharaja’s inspirational deal.
With this photo tutorial I want to bring you:
- a bit of inspiration on how to use some of the beads from your Maharaja’s Jewel box,
- how to incorporate crescent-shaped filigree in your beadwork,
- how to create a bead embroidered jewel (with or without a tassel).

Annie, this would be amazing! I think it’s a very easy project for starting with bead embroidery as the bezel is round 🙂 If you have more questions while beading, ask anytime in the Beadingschool Club 🙂
