It’s time to pack the suitcase again!
Before the pandemics, traveling was my life. It didn’t matter if by bike, by train, by plane, or simply just walking, with or without beads, but visiting a new place and experience its vibe kept me motivated and energised.
After more than two years of staying put it’s time to embark on a beady journey again!
It’s a great pleasure and honour, that the Beadworkers Guild invited me to be their masterclass teacher at the next Great British Bead Show. I designed three completely new projects that will debut at the Show, each of them teaching you something else, all of the bringing more colours and bling to your bead mat.

How to sign up, and what else is happening?
I recommend visiting and reading about it all on the page of the Beadworker’s Guild. That’s where you’ll find the submission form, too. Don’t hesitate, as the number of the spots is limited!
There’s going to be a bead shopping marketplace, lots of workshops, and community events. I can’t wait to meet some of my friends – designers who will also teach classes: Chloe Menage and Heather Kingsley-Heath among else, who was our jury member for the Beadingschool Contest last year.
What about kits?
I will have kits available in advance at the Beadingschool Bead Shop. Please send an email to [email protected] if you are interested, so we can let you know when they are available. Also, you can find all the material you’ll need at the Beadingschool Bead Shop in case that you’d like to put together your own colour combination.
Will Erika teach these projects elsewhere, too?
At the moment, no other classes and events are scheduled, so I strongly recommend you to come to the Great British bead Show if you can! It’s going to be a super fun event anyway 🙂
If an opportunity comes my way that I feel is right, I will accept 1 or 2 more teaching opportunities for 2023. Exclusive kits and projects are otherwise available usually during the Beadingschool Advent Calendar (these will not be part of Advent 2022 however, as they debut at the GBBS).
Bead Shows are always special experiences.
I feel at home there as everyone I see and meet and talk to are ‘my kind of crazy’ beady people. I smile at the memories of seeing beaders working in every possible place they could sit down in the area of the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, the never-empty beading room of the Swedish Beadalong, no matter, when did you visit it, at 2pm or 2am, and the dinners, breakfasts, car rides and cocktail hours of Master Beads Bergamo Italy all filled with beady conversations.
I am already looking forward to met you and to create some special memories together!
