Jaisalmer, one of the most famous royal citites in India, is sometimes called the “Golden City” because the yellow sandstone used throughout its architecture.
Jaisalmer Fort contains a royal palace and several ornate Jain temples built during the 12th and 15th centuries. Known for their exquisite work of art and architecture that was predominant in the medieval era the sandstone of the temples have intricate engravings on them.
This royal city became an inspiration for the design that is so versatile, you can turn it to any jewel you like! Let me show you first Jaisalmer jewels created by our Beadingschool Academy students and fellow Beadingschool Club members.

As you stated in the title, this is a motif with endless possibilities. The more I bead the more ideas I get, still I have not done majority of the pieces we’ve brainstormed together during Coffetime. Now I got to the point that I don’t want to release the Maharaja month and just continue to play with its elements, however I am pretty convinced that the next theme will be a big bang again!
