Le Jardin Majorelle on my bead mat

You might remember that at the same time when we opened our new Beadingschool Academy Theme Boxes, we also talked about New Year’s resolution. 

I shared with you a different approach that I am taking this year: instead of wanting to lose a certain number of kilograms, learning 10 chapters of Spanish grammar, and beading 10 jewels every month,  I am keeping my focus on the direction, without numbers. Turning up to Spanish classes, trying to be active and eat healthy, and of course, to continue exploring all the wonderful opportunities that our beloved beads are offering! Without the pressure, focusing on having fun, improving my skills, and enjoying the good vibes in the community that we are lucky to be part of. 

It happens even to the biggest designers of our world, no matter what kind of material they are working with. Fashion guru Yves Saint Laurent, One of the most influential artists of the 20th century, was certainly one of them. 

Yves worked long hours, and took on the responsibility of being the director of the fashion house Dior when he was only 21 years old. Luckily, he found a true oasis, where he could retract when he needed to recharge and find new inspiration. Today, I’d like to invite you to visit this magical place, and recharge our creative energies together.

Le Jardin Majorelle’s vibrant colors: turquoise, green, yellow, orange, but above all: a specific shade of blue that we know as Majorelle Blue are sure to bring us that springtime energy that we are all longing for these days! Yves Saint Laurent himself said: “Marrakech taught me color.” And I’m sure that we will learn a lot about colors and even more during this upcoming Theme! About the need to calm down – in our own homes or during a change of environment, and also how inspiring it is to look at traditions, and boldly combine them with our own personal style.
