Look Back at The Starry Night Mini Challenge
Starry Night pendant
This gorgeous pendant was beaded by Carolann Shea, who showed us that it´s possible to have many stars in one, using star-shaped WibeDuo beads to decorate the bezelled cabochon.
If you’re new to beading and would like to learn how to bezel a cabochon, follow this tutorial or watch a video.
Bead embroidered pendants
Katalin let her creativity sparkle and dived into bead embroidery – and we are truly happy she did, because now we can admire this special piece, where she also incorporated OOAK art quality L2Studio cabochon, together with Preciosa cupchains, crystals and cabochons – it looks like a piece taken directly from Van Gogh’s canvas! That´s what we call uniqueness!
I would also like to mention bead embroidered pendant made by Aniko Hesz – you can see picture of her jewel on the cover.
If you’re new to bead embroidery and would like to learn basics, follow Erika’s Traveller series with video tutorials.
Starry Night brooch/pendant
More sparkle is always better right? We think that as well and I have to say that I really love the way Kalpana used in her design these shiny Kite cabochons. It’s completely different way from Erika’s Nuenen design and it brings a lot of inspiration.
Starry Night statement necklace
Erika made a beautiful tribute – a statement necklace out of almost every pattern we beaded together during our Starry Night theme. And she went even further with expanding them in the original way! Pure beauty!
Starry Night Moon pendant
In this sweet and original piece, where Mary bezelled the moon charm, she gave us the perfect example of how you can adjust everything from your material to suit you and your personal style, think out of the box and experiment! We’re very happy Mary is beading with us as she often shares her tips and tricks on Beadingschool Club with fellow beaders.
The Star of the Starry Night
And last, but (definitely!) not the least, a beautiful necklace beaded by Elena. She created a spectacular design by bezeling an L2Studio cab in the interesting star-shaped construction mostly from slender bugle beads. All of the material she used came from the Starry Night bead box. I could admire it all day!
Elena was the winner of our competition and I think it was a very well deserved victory, congratulation!
Thank you, ladies, for your beautiful creations, ideas, and visions you transformed into jewelry. We, at Beadingschool, hope you had a great time beading, improving your skills, and learning something new when accepting to join the Starry Night Mini Challenge 🙂 We loved looking through the pictures you sent us, and hopefully, you feel the same.
