I didn’t bead this when the theme box came out – it was my first Fuchsia box and I was a bit, let’s say, overwhelmed. But beading it now is such a pleasure. The instructions of crystal clear, easy to follow, and for the experienced beader, should take no more than three hours. A newer beader might need a full day, but the project is easily broken down into its elements. Just watch out and make sure your thread doesn’t get wrapped around the daggers in the last step!

I love the use of the petal and diabolo/pellet beads in this design. The tutorial is easy to follow. This was my first big peyote bezel and it worked out great. It was easy to find a place for a bail. All around great design!

The design is very beautiful. There are many possibilities how the finished piece looks according to the colours of the beads. The original colours connected to the Tulip Mania Box are super cute. The tutorial is perfectly written and illustrated and very easy to follow.

This pattern is what makes the academy so special. While we get beautiful patterns Erika also teaches us techniques so we can recreate our adjust a pattern to fit our needs. With this pattern I learned how to build 3D depth into my jewels, how to secure beads, and how to work in product that fits my style. It’s easy to buy patterns and recreate them, but to find a real teacher who knows how to lead students into their own creativity is unusual. I just upgraded my membership to Fuchsia because not only are the beads exquisite and of the highest quality, but I want lessons like this one!
