Inspiration: Hawai Mahal (or Palace of Wind) is a palace in the pink city of Jaipur in the province of Rajasthan/India. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of the founder of Jaipur. Five floors, 945 small windows decorated with latticework, designed for the royal ladies to watch everyday life on the streets without being noticed. Otherwise, they were allowed to the streets only with their faces covered. The cooling effect of the building structure allowed fresh breeze through. (more on the building here)
Anita Berecz –
Jaipur an amazing design and great project. This is the first kit I purchased from Erika and I have not regretted it. The colors are put so beautifully together. The L2 cabochons, the drops, the filigree are amazing quality. I have never worked with odd-count peyote before, but based on the drawings I had no issue with it. I am more than happy with the jewelry I created!

Lovely and inspiring design! I was afraid as I’m not using flat peyote (at all until now), but the pattern is clear and shows everything in detail – both written and drawn. I learnt a lot and got new ideas how to use my new “peyote” skills. I’m very happy with the purchase 🙂
