The Beader’s Calendar 2025: June Jewel

Fiesta pendant tutorial by Zuzi is the June jewel of the Beader’s Calendar 2025 by Beadingschool.

The pendant was designed to make you shine and bring the sparkle by combining round and pear-shaped cabochons with Preciosa bicone beads. You can play with different colors to match your style.

Before joining Beadingschool she worked as a project manager in a large IT company, and spent almost all her free time with beading and composing steampunk-style jewelry. The love for beads, with Erika’s support, took Zuzi’s creativity to a brand new level, and she started to design her own jewels. She enjoys creating small motifs that bring joy to beaders in the community, but isn’t afraid of taking a challenge in preparing more complex tutorials.

Fiesta is the 100th tutorial that’s published in the Beadingschool bead shop and blog under Zuzi’s name – one more reason to celebrate!

ABOUT THE FIESTA PENDANT 

Zuzi says: ‘Fiesta is here to celebrate and make YOU shine. It’s the size and combination of glass cabochons and Preciosa bicones that reflect the light. When I beaded the first sample (later called Cold Day), I wanted a perfect brooch for my winter wool coat. Then, I was going for summery colors of Sayulita Sunset (June Sunset), so the pendant could shine on my linen summer dress. No matter what the occasion, this jewel is to celebrate and bring joy. That’s why I called it Fiesta. ‘

This tutorial will show you how to combine cabochons in metal settings, decorate them while hiding the thread connections. Zuzi also included an inspirational step in the tutorial on how to create the necklace chain while using the leftover beads.

• June Sunset – Inspired by the vibrant colors of Sayulita Sunset Theme.
• Cold Day – this was the original colorway Zuzi beaded in the winter of 2023. After that, the motif waited for its time to shine. 🙌
• Night Forest – green and black tones of pine forest.
• Midsummer Eve – Romantic violet with lavender fragrance in the air as you walk through the garden.
