When someone outside of the beading world asks me what Beadingschool is about, my answer is not about the Bead Shop, even if that’s what you might see first. Our mission at Beadingschool is to make beaders happy and proud of what you have accomplished and help your beading wishes come true.
I can talk a lot about what we are doing at Beadingschool and how we try to make beading wishes come true, but I think our beaders are the best when it comes to describing it 🙂
We asked in the Beadingschool Club, what Beadingschool brings to life, why do you like being here, how you feel when you receive a package, how did Beadingschool help nurturing your beading skills, and to share whatever else that is important in your opinion.
„I’ve wanted to go to a beading school for a long time and there you were. You answered me when I was alone and cared for me. Other Beaders encourage me and support me and you teach generously all kinds of things I didn’t even know to ask. You share patterns when I couldn’t afford to buy them. You open up the world for me to meet people all over the world that have become my friends. I am so grateful to you, Erika, and your team.”
„Beadingschool is like a family – but just the best parts! All the warmth and encouragement a family gives when you accomplish something new, or share something you’re proud of. „Beadingchool is not an usual beading school, it is so much more than that. It is a super supportive and caring community of lovely people from all over the world, and I really feel like my family. The weekly Coffee Time sessions and weekly free online classes, where we can chat and bead and make friends every Friday, just bring us even closer. The bi-monthly thematic inspirational boxes trigger our creative minds and Erika always encourages us to try new ways and new possibilities. Beadingschool is also a fantastic webshop with a wide variety of beading materials, including carefully selected unique items and it has the most effective, generous, and kind staff. There is always something to look forward to at Beadingschool.”
„For me, the Beadingschool is a wonderfully supportive community of beaders from all over the world with similar goals but different approaches. It is a safe place, yet an exciting place. Erika provides constant inspiration with new motifs on a weekly basis, plus, with her new beading Academy where we can all learn new techniques built on a theme, we can expand on those techniques to make our own, one of a kind, jewels.
Then, there are the people who work with Erika. They are kind, supportive & most helpful. Questions are answered promptly. Help is just a message away. Even those not employed by Erika, those beaders who participate in the School’s projects on either Facebook or YouTube, are there to help answer questions, make suggestions on decisions you are trying to resolve & cheer you on when you post a piece or set of jewels you’ve created, telling you how lovely it looks, which then inspires you to bring yourself to a higher level. ‘Can I top this?”
However, the glue that holds us all together is Erika, herself. I realize she has a great team to work with but it is her commitment to constantly creating new challenges that keep us all going. Does she ever sleep? When you think of all she has done over such a short period of time & how the Beadingschool has grown so quickly to include people from all over the world, it boggles the mind. Her followers participate for many reasons. Some love the company of meeting others twice a week for Coffee Time or NooneHasToBeadAlone. Some love the opportunity to pick up new tips from Erika, problem-solving a situation they are in with their project. And some like to just listen to her, amazed at how she thinks & plans, taking her inspiration for their own projects & embellishing those ideas. You must also realize that, despite the fact that most of us have never personally met one another, being from all different nations and simply knowing each other by name, Erika had put us all together so that we can consider one another good friends.
A big plus for many of us is her bead shop. She is apparently able to keep stock of items no one else sells & these are of great quality. Such quality & color choices bring more to our beading mats than we could ever do without her discoveries & choices. We can create knowing that each piece has the best quality of items that we could not be able to purchase elsewhere. In addition, with purchases, she gives us gifts like beads she somehow senses we would need with what we just purchased and the all important gift of chocolate! She is generous to a fault with her time & her bead shop gifts, somehow able to make each of us feel like a special friend to her.
At this point in my beading life, I don’t think I can live without Erika & the Beadingschool in my life. It has become a way of life for me. I might not be able to keep up with all of her challenges (she keeps us very busy) :), but I use beading as a way of relaxing at the end of the day & as a way to use my creative side. There’s nothing more satisfying than to pick up a completed piece, put it on, & enjoy the fact that I can say, “I made this!”

„I’ve been a member of this community from the start (sort of), so a witness of its growth. Actually, it’s an expansion. Which one would expect to have some backside, f.ex impact on customer service/support experience. Not at all! Everything is planned, counted, and foreseen; the business brains of Beadingschool are just amazing. In parallel, we are being inspired, challenged, and gathered to bead new stuff every week. Beadingingschool is not only about inspiration and beads it is about friendship, kindness and fun. Erika and her team are bringing so much joy and good vibes to us. Beadingschool you are incredibly wonderful! Last year I broke a toe, no tragedy just a few weeks of pain and annoyance. When Erika and Beadingschool got to know about this accident they sent me a lovely card with getting well wishes and a cute gift. I was in tears when I got this, it was so incredible nice to see how they care about us. Beadingschool Club on FB is a nice place in the “wide space of the internet” where I like to “meet” beaders from around the world and they do everything to keep this place it safe and clean.
