I spent a big part of my twenties and my soon-to-be-over thirties with exploring the world. Instead of the comfort of 5-star hotels and all-inclusive beaches I preferred walking between ordinary people, sitting down on the ground to listen to their stories and to share their drinks and meals. I got to know coffee with a piece of burning coal dropped into it in Indonesia, and drank an insane amount of mint tea in Morocco.
However, it wasn’t easy right away from the beginnings. Sometimes I got overwhelmed, I had difficulties finding vegetarian food, or even got sick for a while.
One of the first countries I visited was India.
