Now that Beadingschool is producing its own art cabochons, everyone should be making this amazing piece. The threadpath that Erika has created to bezel the cabochon is an absolute work of art. It’s insane, too, but once you get it down, it’s beautiful, intuitive, amazing and perfect. I want to try this with the 35mm crystals. They will need some adjustment in the bezel attachment since there is so much more dimensionality to these stone, but there is no reason why it shouldn’t work. No reason not to try — faiilure in beading only costs us time and thread, right?

A surprising non-embroidery tutorial to create beadwork with L2Studio cabochon. Very well written, with clear instructions and drawings, as usual. There’s also a lot of potential to further use the motif.
