‘PRECIOSA for Creators’ by Beadingschool
Not that long ago, Erika announced Beadingschool became PRECIOSA for Creators partner. We started a week of celebration with significant discounts on our favorite Preciosa products, including:
- Cabochons – round stones and fancy stones,
- Sew-on rhinestones and sew-on rhinestone boxes,
- Rhinestone cup chains,
- Preciosa beads (bicones, Bellatrix, and faceted round beads),
- Nacre pearls,
- Preciosa Crystal and Pearl Boxes (if you look for assorted selection, for knowing Preciosa better),
- Preciosa Gift Shop.
I quickly looked at Erika’s tutorials after I received my orders from this very special week. One of the functionalities I like in the webshop is to search for tutorials through the left-sidebar under the product categories. This filtering uses tag names of material being used – bicone, sew-on rhinestone, chaton, pearls, etc. There was a whirl of questions on my mind:
What will show all my Preciosa beads and components in the most beautiful way?
Which of these designs I haven’t beaded yet? Or will I go on my own?
Will I return to some of my favorites?
Timea Earrings
Timea Earrings – or the motif itself – is a unique design that combines Preciosa bicones, chatons, and sew-on rhinestones. Choosing to add crystal glass components or sparkling earstuds will create a very luxurious jewel. If you purchase the special box with Preciosa sew-on rhinestones, you receive this tutorial as a gift.
I haven’t beaded these earrings yet and I think it’s time to change it!
Designs, where you can use more from this group of beads, are:
Alicia’s Flower
Alicia’s Flower Necklace was the design Erika prepared for International Beading Week in summer 2021. It quickly became one of my personal favorites as it’s very versatile and shows the beauty of bicone beads in different sizes. I created a pendant, brooch, earrings, necklace – each in different colors and styles. If you look for more inspiration, there is #ClubDesigns article dedicated to Alicia’s Flower.
Other designs based on the beauty of bicone beads are:
Versailles
Pearls are one of my all-time favorites. They are pure, classy, and never out of fashion. Versailles design is perfect for showing the beauty of pearls in two different sizes. Bezelled chatons placed interchangeably with pearls are the element that brings extra sparkle and structure. It’s possible to make also a single pendant or larger necklace by connecting several motifs together.
If you like pearls, you should definitely look at these designs:
- Rembrandt,
- Tuschinski,
- Primavera,..
Magic Garden
Magic Garden bracelet together with the first Beadingschool Academy subscription box creates the whole theme on its own. Erika presented several designs to complete a picture of the Art Nouveau garden, providing an inspirational box full of gorgeous material. She uses Preciosa crystals, bicone beads, sew-on rhinestones for these designs.
More Magic Garden designs that were not mentioned earlier:
Indira
Indira bracelet got very quickly on my list as I ordered to test some of the new Preciosa cushion cut cabochons. I beaded Indira bracelet before and I really enjoyed the pattern. A single Indira element can be used in many different ways and colors that are currently available in the webshop can create really nice harmony together.
Sophia
These are my variations of Sophia earrings using only Preciosa crystals. It was the first time I beaded this design and I felt really happy to be able to make earrings using rivolis, oval cabochons, and rhinestone cupchains I purchased during special Preciosa week. Erika’s way of simple peyote bezelling inspired me to continue and try to make earrings using a pear-shaped cabochon.
I combined pear-shaped cabochons with 8mm chatons from Preciosa Elegant box. To create balance and to add a glamorous touch, I used Art Nouveau ear studs in golden color – they reflect the pear cabochon on the bottom, adding balance to the whole jewel.
More from designs using different cabochon shapes and rhinestone cupchains:
- Antoinette,
- Alina,
- Pompeia,
- Vanitas,…
I hope you found this tutorial pick interesting and you will explore more on your own! Here is the key ๐
